It's time for a contest! This is a bit of an extended contest because I would love to see some high quality, top percentage, 100 hundred emoji worthy songs come from you. All you have to do is record a cover of "An Eternal Breath" which is that beautiful almost hymnal aria-esque song from part 2 of Masteria Through Time.

You can do a vocal cover over the instrumental, arrange your own orchestration, play it on the recorder or use whatever other musical ability you may have. Here are the lyrics in Latin, a rough translation to English, and a link to the instrumental! Convert the Youtube video to an MP3 if you want, or you can even buy the song in the links below.

Original

Latin
Abiit ad maiores
Abiit ad plures
Corpora lente augescent cito extinguuntur
Abiit ad maiores
Abiit ad plures
Corpora lente augescent cito extinguuntur
Mors tantum mē līberābit
Woo (x4)
amantes sunt amentes
tecum vivere amem, tecum obeam libens

English
S/he has gone to the ancestors
S/he has gone to the majority
Bodies grow slowly and die quickly.
S/he has gone to the ancestors
S/he has gone to the majority
Bodies grow slowly and die quickly.
Death will only set me free.
Woo (x4)
Lovers are lunatics
With you I should love to live, with you be ready to die

So the winners aren't random this time, like that writing contest they had? Surprising.

He did say he wanted quality entries this time.
When a "contest" is more like a raffle, he gets swamped with garbage entries.

That said, the next one will probably be a raffle again. People seem to think it's unfair that they can't win a contest just because they lack talent...

um.

anyway there is already quite a happy medium. grand prize winners and randomly selected winners, with entries disqualified for "inappropriate content" (no effort garbage entries) as determined by the judges. as it was with the st patrick's day contest.

I don't want to divert because I know her philosophy is quite polarizing, but you can't claim that isn't exactly what the book is about.

I think I remember a contest which nexon had with only one participant, so the winner was some random girl with a blanket and a dragon plushie...

I still find it stupid that a writing contest would have random winners, honestly. Especially considering that you could write garbage and could still win.
