Jedward Wrote:As far as I'm concerned, it's better that way. MapleStory doesn't have a lot of meso sinks and could use one more.

In theory it does. I guess it's just not common enough or it doesn't really work anymore.

We got:

1. Mounts (used to be a good meso sink until everyone and their mother got Flash Jump + easy teleports to anywhere).
2. Now Mastery Books (7m-17m to max a 4th job skill really adds up.)
3. Donations to NPCs for titles (guess it's more gimmicky than anything)
4. Evo World cores
5. Repairs for any durability items
6. Potion costs, especially if you class has no way to self-heal
7. Profession costs

I know I'm missing some, just can't recall them right now off the top of my head.

8. Job change. Dat 500 mil per change at level 200.

Unless 7. refers to job change. Because professions by themselves is no meso sink lol

Didn't CMS or whatever other version have the "Time Portal" working in current NLC and it took you back to NLC before the invasion?

Why are people assuming they'll be in normal NPC shops? For all we know, they could just add it to the Alien Coin NPC (if they keep both versions of NLC), or just throw them in every event coin shop.

Back on topic, I'm so HAPPY about this.

This sums up my thoughts about current NLC:

Phoenix Wright Wrote:NLC in it's current form can die in a fire for all I care.

There's so much lack of thought in it that it's irritating, especially when compared to the original version. Every detail of old Masteria was so thought of, it was almost perfect.
Storyline-wise, most characters were given their own personalities, which they coherently kept during the quest chains. Also, the stories were really thrilling.
Graphics-wise, the maps were given particular shapes and were full of objects, which were just the proof of how much they worked into it. The current ones use random objects from old events (e.g.: Unwelcome Visitor), which are put in random places without any rationality.
.. and much more.

I just can't wait for this update, but..

iamflip Wrote:The big question is how will NexonNA deal with the alien thing.

I'm wondering about that, too. Seeing how they shamelessly re-used Masteria's objects and BGMs in Dawnveil, I wouldn't be surprised if they made it a separate choice in Dimensional Portal (I actually never liked the fact that they allowed you to directly teleport to NLC from there, but w/e). But really, I hope they won't do that. If they bring back old Masteria, I hope they'll at least put a little effort in that and make a single quest where Major Slimm explains what happened, just so that it makes sense, ya know.

I was about to mention that. It was obvious that it had to come back somehow or else some stuff can't be accessible.

We already have Commerci trade routes, what does an update have to do with it?

...not like they could add a new feature or anything. They could add a separate NPC or a party option...
