So we're doing it, you all saw it coming, you all wanted it, and now it's here. On November 15th, begins the greatest journey for you and your partners to attempt to claim the title of Champion on top of the legendary Mount Silver.

You as a player will be able to use 8 different pokemon. Each gym battle will have it's own requirements of how many pokemon you will use during that said challenge. This is to create an unique unexpected challenge every match, but nothing will create a ridiculous advantage that can't be dominated. The challenges will have EV/IV'd trained pokemon, so keep that in mind.

If you wish to exchange any pokemon of the 8 selected you can at any time, however you will have to re-obtain the badges. You will need a certain amount of badges in order to participate in the elite 4. However if you manage to defeat all of the gym leaders followed by the E4 and champion, you will get a special prize. Your goal is to overthrow the champion, and represent that spot for the up and coming challengers behind you, until you yourself are dethroned with the team that you used to conquer the top. The first one to overthrow the champion will get a prize.

-Each gym leader will give you two chances to defeat them. If you fail both, that badge is no longer obtainable. There is no order, you can challenge anyone you choose, once the remaining leaders are selected, they will be listed, although there pokemon will not be. In order to successfully conquer the elite 4 you must defeat them all in succession. You are given 4 opportunities to do so, if you fail you must reclaim the badges(in this case the badges you failed will be available). You have 3 chances to defeat the champion. If you lose, you must reconquer the elite 4.

-No mega's will be allowed to be used at Gym leader level challenges. You may and are encouraged to use a mega applicable pokemon, as at E4/Champ level you are allowed to use the mega, but you may not activate mega at Gym level.

-Mega Mewtwo/Mewtwo along with the X/Y/Z legendaries are banned.

-This is strictly online on the actual games. We will not be using simulators so people actually work to make their pokemon. So the standard rules applies

• Species Clause - A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same National Pokédex number on a team.
  • For example, using a team with two Koffing would break this clause.
    
  • Using different formes on the same team, such as Rotom-W and Rotom-C, also breaks the clause since they share the same Pokédex number (#479).
    
  • This rule was implemented for BW tiers following a Policy Review vote on October 30, 2010.
    
• Sleep Clause - You lose if, at the end of your turn, two of your opponent's Pokemon were put to sleep by a move you used but were not forced into, and neither have had their sleep removed since then.
  • The clause basically means that if you have already put a Pokemon on your opponent's side to sleep and it is still sleeping, you can't put another one to sleep.
    
  • A move you were "forced into" is a move you must use because all other moves (that cannot inflict sleep) are disabled (by Choice item, Encore, or some combination of Taunt, Disable, Torment, and lack of PP) and you cannot switch (due to trapping moves, trapping abilities, Ingrain, or having all other Pokemon be fainted).
    
  • A move you used includes moves called by Metronome, Sleep Talk, Assist, Me First, or Copycat. It does not include Magic Coat or Magic Bounce.
    
  • Rest, used by either player, is never counted by this clause.
    
  • The definition of this rule was debated on in a Policy Review discussion.
    
  • This rule was implemented for BW tiers following a Policy Review vote on October 30, 2010.
    
• Evasion Clause - A Pokemon may not have the moves Double Team or Minimize in its moveset.
  • Generally, this rule will be automatically enforced in simulator play. In Wi-Fi play, a player is considered to have broken the clause when a Pokemon is revealed to have been brought into the battle with a banned move.
    
  • This rule was implemented for BW tiers following a Policy Review vote on October 30, 2010.
    
  • This rule does not apply to BW Ubers following a Policy Review vote on December 21, 2012.
    
• OHKO Clause - A Pokemon may not have the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold in its moveset.
  • Generally, this rule will be automatically enforced in simulator play. In Wi-Fi play, a player is considered to have broken the clause when a Pokemon is revealed to have been brought into the battle with a banned move.
    
  • This rule was implemented for BW tiers following a Policy Review vote on October 30, 2010.
    
• Moody Clause - A team cannot have a Pokemon with the ability Moody.
  • This rule was implemented for BW tiers by acclamation on June 7, 2011.
