Using WineBottler to Play MS on Mac
#1
Has anyone ever tried doing this? And does it work?

Or is this unheard of completely? ._.

If this fails, I'll just resort to setting up BootCamp and what not.. just wanted to figure out an easier way since I misplaced my CD copy of Windows XP (which is needed for BootCamp I presume?)

Fairly sure HackShield doesn't like being put in a VM. Maplestory won't run in WINE, so why would it run in WineBottler?

MS, HackShield, and BlackCipher work fine in a VM. Themida just checks your registry for display driver names and anything saying VM, Virtual, etc.

Assuming your computer is powerful enough to run the virtualization and maple without lag and you know how/can find out how to change the necessary registry files, go right ahead.

I'm not going to say much else. This sort of thing is taboo.
