Chances are that we may see this in a different style.

Seeing it differently than what it is could be interesting to say the least. I mean..meh I just don't like it at all Tongue I would be fine if a warrior could go only to a warrior and keep SOME but not all but SOME skills. Then I could see it in a different light.

I would like to see an actual Cygnus > Explorer rebirth. Not, "HERPADERPAYOUGETTHISONESKILL,ANDTHESEFEWOTHERSKILLSTHATDON'TREALLYMATTERHERPADERPA".

I'm not sure if you're implying UA or the lack of ability to use skills with JMST's rebirth system. XD

Yeah, Cygnus to Adventurer would be cool to see, but I don't think it's a good idea to have. =/

These two ideas, in order, is what I thought the rebirth system originally entailed, not this every-class-except-combination-X-and-Y are now failures. It is of course interesting to see where they will go from here and if, contrary to my experience with MS, will JMS take their Tespia seriously and think about how they could make this work.

UA. I want to see an advance UA system where the UA gets a few more skills from its "parent".

No. When a Cygnus wants to make a UA all they have to do is that one quest, should be the same for advance UA's.

Soul Rush + Soul Driver + Soul Charge that can stack with Paladin charges, please. :3

Soul Rush would be pretty fair for warriors. Can leave combo out because of how powerful it can be.

i meant it for REGULAR dk's getting the skills.

Regular explorers wouldn't get the extra skills, only Soul Driver and that other one. Only UE's would get the extra skills.

Yeah, that's the same line of thinking I was in when I originally heard of this system as well.
I thought it would literally be a combination of both classes, and you'd be able to play both at once. Honestly, that's a good amount better than locking skills left and right. All they needed to do is make it so that you count as both class trees that you choose, so if you're a mage -> warrior, you can equip both mage and warrior equipment, and be able to use any of the skills. It would certainly have brought more options than the system they used, even if Hero->Shadower was still the best in terms of DPS, it would have added flare and some fun experimentation to the game to be able to choose any combos you wanted.

But instead they implemented this...garbage. I'm happy they dumped it. It had Potential, but they certainly needed to cube it more to get an acceptable outcome Wink

What if they just made Shadow Partner or combo attack not transfer when rebirthing? Is there another broken combo?

I can't say I don't want this. It's hard to just say, 'hey, I want to play one class forever.' Even generalizing for the average basil market player, it's not rare at all to see anyone with more than one character. Personally, I have around 5 that I could consider serious, and it can be stressful managing all of them. I think giving the ability to be able to switch between two classes on a whim with small related buffs to both. Something like FFXI.

There are other broken combos, just not as broken.

UE's need something special to set them a part from regular Explorers. Plus, as you said yourself you have something cool that any new character will never have.

Well don't keep me in suspense, what are they? How do you differentiate between strong and broken as well?

It mostly depends on if certain passives stack, and if charges carry over and stuff like that. Combo Attack and Shadow Partner are top of the line, but there are other skills that can make a class broken if they rebirthed.

But you might have a point on the difference between strong and broken.
