SP do any con/fest/expo meet ups?

Does SP do any collective gatherings for video game/anime con/fest/expo?

Like (even though it's to late) magfest is coming up and i was wondering if SP does a "meet up" for it?

EG: everyone chip in for a few hotel rooms or stay at a fellow SP'er nearby place and go to w.e. con/fest/expo is occurring in the area, after flying/driving there.

Cause i've seen a few threads in the past regarding random "get-togethers" (no idea if they are real or even go through).

However, I am probably going to an anime convention in Pittsburgh, I believe it's on March 31st. So if anybody who is around the Pittsburgh area that knows of one near March, yeeeeah, you might see me there.

if there is another SPer in France/Paris that is not a total random person I wouldn't mind meeting them.
