Who is/are your favorite anime character(s), and why?

I'd have to say Hitsugaya Toushirou(sp?) from Bleach orrrr Stein from Soul Eater

I have a couple.

One would be one of the characters that the thread starter mentioned. Yusuke Urameshi. Despite my biased opinion of Yu Yu Hakusho being one of the best anime series, I like Yusuke the most because of his attitude. He starts out as a cocky, hard headed child who couldn't show any of his true feelings to the ones he loved. Later on, he starts to open up to the ones he loves. He actually relates to me, as I was the same way when I was younger. I wouldn't let anyone know how I truely felt. After growing up a little, I realized that there are people who actually care for me... and I started to open up to them.

The second would be Spike Spiegel of Cowboy Bebop. For a twenty-six episode show, I think Spike had a lot of depth. He's the type of person who I've always admired. On the outside, he just acts cool and collect. Always seems relaxed and not really letting things bother him. Obviously, if you've seen this masterpiece of a series - you'd know otherwise.

Lastly - Lucy from Elfen Lied, just because she totally kicks ass.

Lucy is pretty cool as for the character, but I hated how both the anime and manga ended (the anime ending is better than the manga ending though). I was rooting for an ending where everyone ends up together . The way the manga ended though was just dumb..... having her melt away???

Don't really watch anime anymore, but the dude in Bleach.
