What does it actually mean?

Some people have told me that it means they're interested in you, other people have told me that they're not and that you're either a "friend" or she was just trying to not hurt your feelings.

Confused as f'uck because every girl I've met has told me I'm cute. Whether they mean physically or personality, I have no idea.
