My heart felt like it just sank..
#1
..dropped, and died.

My 2nd gf, whom I liked much more than my ex, and all of my dates I've had, broke up with me. She said her life was too complicated at the moment, along with other things, because she still has lots to figure out about and etc. I understood, of course. We ended it great. I faked a smile. I faked it really well. But behind it, I wanted to just cry. I was really happy. For those months that she made me happy, I don't know what it was. I think it was her inspiring and "You can do it!" personality that attracted me to her. I looked at life a bit differently because she taught me how to. It was only a couple months, but maybe I clung onto the feeling of it too much.

I'm not really angry, or depressed (per-se). I'm just sad that it had to end. I enjoyed everything, I even asked her this: "One favor I'd like to ask, would you mind if I call you on V-day to wish you a happy V-day? And also, can I still send your present?", she smiled at me and she was of course, fine with it. She's going to send me mine as well. I really can't wait.

The feeling of happiness for those couple of months, I won't forget. You made me a happy man for those previous months, Mary. You made me think a lot differently, and I enjoyed spending all of that time with you. I won't forget any of this, Mary...

I'm sorry Khoi.

It's good that you guys ended on a good note (as opposed to screaming/yelling/fighting/etc) and willl still be trading Valentines gifts.

Right. That's what's important to me, is that we ended it on GOOD terms. We didn't dragged it on, we let it flowed and then ended it if things didn't worked out. I told her as soon as this began, that if she thinks it's too hard, that she should break up with me. I'm glad she was straightforward and honest about it..

Sorry to hear about that, but sometimes the pressure of life just wears a person down so much that they themselves cannot feel the love they have for and from the people around them. Good people get dragged into bad situations that they don't deserve and it just breaks your heart. Don't think she'll ever forget you though Khoi, women have great memory. If you never get back together, she'll one day think of you and smile. Every person you will ever meet and care about will change your life, so honor her by keeping on and living life the best way you can.

I'm glad you could share this little tidbit of yourself with us, it made me smile, since I have been through the same situations Smile

I won't forget any of this. I know she won't either. During Christmas, I sent her a necklace for Christmas (and for her birthday), and the day that we broke up, I told her to hang onto it anyways, because I hope that when she stares at it in the future, she realized that I cared about her, and that I was a great friend. Friendship is extremely important in my life, and I treasure every single moment with my friends. Without them, my life surely would be dull. This is also one of the most serious and personal threads I've made here on SouthPerry.

I honored every moment I was with her, and I'm hoping that she'll remember the kind things did for her and the kind words I said to her when we were together. I have no regrets at all. I'm going to push myself further into my education, because she inspired me to do better in school. She told me she wanted to go for a Ph. D in Forensics (medical investigation sorta forensics), and by seeing how intelligent and capable she is, it just spurs me to do better at school.
