"Acura Cheap" FM Shops

Kevo Wrote:Well I do agree with what you said, but no matter what's done nothing will change. People will always look for a bargain. One can even monopolize certain items, and resell for a high price. I believe there's some scrolls that can be monopolized in Scania at the moment. Is that morally wrong? Happens in real life business too.

What can you say about http://www.southperry.net/forums/showthread.php?t=548. Are most of these transactions morally wrong too? Can you prove the sellers in these threads aren't hackers? Forgetting a digit doesn't prove anything.

The benefit of merchanting is that you can also sell mesos for real life money too, and not need to spend your own money for nx anymore. You can upgrade your equips and get accepted into HT squads (gl in Scania though).

Well, it's hard to say for the Skanda. Lots of people buy meso and probably are unaware of market prices. They could buy it, then a few months later have no use for it and sell it for a price they think is fair but may not match up with current prices. Or perhaps the seller was desperate after weeks of being unable to sell it =[.

I dunno what else to say I'm horrible at aruging lol Tongue

Monopolizing a business is part of business. In that case you take a massive risk in investing in a specific item. Selling stolen goods is not the same as monopolizing by a long shot; the only risk there is being caught.

As far as that thread goes, you're right. Someone leaving off a digit and getting ripped off sucks but that is user error. In the grand scheme, it really is terrible to buy those items knowingly (like walking out of the store without paying for something and knowing it) but again, both parties have an equal part in that. In the sales of stolen goods, there is a true victim who did nothing wrong. This is a full-blown epidemic and it's not just isolated incidents like the cases in that thread; it's not mistakes. It's a group of people quickly moving hot goods and other people knowingly capitalizing on that regardless of the loss of the victim.

Before this incident people were able to HT run without having to resort to trafficking and just being flat out dispicable. If you feel like you can't get into an HT run without being morally egregious then you should probably just quit playing. Anything can be accomplished in maple without resorting to criminal activity.

Again, on the Skanda. Every single Sin in the game would love to have a Skanda of that att. They sell immediately even at the highest prices, if not evident by the constant smega spam of "BUYING 54+ ATT SKANDA" so no, it's hardly possible to believe that someone lowered their price to a billion meso loss out of frustration of sales. If someone bought the Skanda themselves they're going to know how much it's worth. They never deflate, even during the anniversary events. Everyone who's played longer than a month knows that a high att Skanda is one of the most valuable items in the game, especially someone who can afford one.

What other people do is their responsibility. What you do is entirely on you. "Everybody's doing it" shouldn't be an excuse, neither should "but I can't do it legitimately". Sure you could rob a bank and buy a nicer house or pay off your mortgage... that doesn't make it morally acceptable to do so.

Have fun trolling like you always do Carlo. I'm going to go merchant on my *anoymous* mule so I finally get some peace from ya. God, I might not care about those defames but I admit you sure are annoying with "STOP HIDING KEITH" crap. BTW, my friend did not sell me out. LOL we were talking about you earlier.

Gl with your uber legit business.

BombsAway Wrote:Ridiculous. This isn't about vendettas, but good job deflecting, Goals. If Mr. Hoodrat really does KS people, that's his deal. I'm sure he has or will get his eventually. There's no reason to bring it up here besides hiding your own guilt.

Regardless of whether you believe morals apply in the game or not, it's indisputable that they do. You are dealing with real people in real situations. You can't do what you do and then complain about Hoodrat KSing people, because that's a moral choice. And just because you're anonymously stroking your plantain and grinning about getting one over on a 12 year old doesn't make you any less of a piece of crap for doing it. You're a huge hypocrite for all of the crying you do about how hard your maple life is when you do absolutely nothing to make it easier for anyone else. I think the best part about this is that next time you come crying about how unfairly you're being treated we can all smile as you bathe in karmic justice.

So now I'm obliged to make it easier for other people. Get it into your head that if I don't buy the item, someone else will. Maybe I should avoid all merchanting incase I might buy a hacked item unknowingly? Nah for the hacked people, you got hacked get over it. The item will never be returned to the owner anyway.

BombsAway Wrote:Making excuses for poor behaviour doesn't justify it. If merchanting is hard then that is unfortunate but that's how life is. You shouldn't be ripping people off to benefit yourself just because it's HARD. Price-gouging is one thing that is morally wrong but it's acceptable because that's business, but selling stolen items because merchanting is hard/boring is inexcusable. You don't even get any real benefit out of it besides continuously available big numbers and perhaps some sort of bragging rights (but bragging about having sold a stolen item is stupid so you don't even get that) while people who lost that stuff can't train or move forward in any way, after working really hard.

It's not a lot to ask for everyone to play fair. Not at all. It's a lot to EXPECT it because of jerks like Goals who think they can do whatever they want without consequence regardless of who it effects, but those people often get theirs. It would be perfect justice for Nexon to delete all of his mesos and stock for having admitted to selling stolen goods. It's unreasonable for people like that to think they can get away with wrong-doing.

And for the record, it's absolutely impossible to argue that you didn't know that Skanda wasn't stolen. NO ONE EVER who is able to scroll a 58 att Skanda isn't going to know approximately how much it's worth, give or take a few million mesos. No one is going to screw themselves out of a billion mesos after having bought a merchant shop. It's ridiculous to think that you could use that as an example of not knowing what is or isn't stolen.

Lol, I don't sell stolen items because merchanting is hard or boring. Infact, merchanting is fun and easy. I NEVER bragged about reselling a stolen item. I said, in my first post, that buying them hacked items has no consequences for the buyer to get hacked. What can you do about it, really. Nexon doesn't compensate the hacked peoples' losses. Their items fall onto the wrong hands. They are done for. Their items are up for grabs by anyone. Not to mention, hacked items are generally COMMON items, ranging from decently scrolled to well scrolled items. Almost never ZOMG godly +9 10% weapon. Relax, the shet is easily replaceable.

To sum it all up: Hacker hacks person. Hacker puts person's items in his shop. Cheap items up for grab is essentially up for anyone's game. Not my problem to be careful about what items I'm buying. I could lie about my items' origins EASILY (they are common gear, like I said before). Not my problem you got hacked. If I got hacked, maybe I'd complain a bit, but oh well what can you do. Nexon's security is shet. I'm definitely not going to try to get back what I lost knowing merchants already gobbled up all the deals already.

Kinda like how people download Anime, Mangas and stuff? Who here hasn't downloaded something illegally?

Thing is we all know that stuff is wrong, but we couldn't care less bceause any repercussions are almost non existant.

Robbing a bank is an extreme situation, and since the chances of being caught are so high few would consider doing it. Not that I encourage anybody to do such a thing...

Kevo Wrote:Yeah, if you only knew the people who regularly have their shops in Scania Ch1Fm1. I'm sure if you ever got to meet them and find out the assets they have, you'll change your mind. It's to the extent people are can use their meso to fund their real life weddings...

If they had the time to get enough mesos for a real life wedding , they probably could have gotten a part time job and gained way more money.

Well, with all the mesos they've stockpiled up, they would probably make a killing with RMT trading. *cough* Selling mesos for USD anyone?
