Enrage Quest

Alright, so I hit hero yesterday and today I continued working on my Enrage quest. I'm at the Forgotten Shrine part, and I'm certain I've broken each rock at the top once now, going back to the map after being redirected each time. I then considered that maybe there was a secret to it, like how GPQ works in one of the earlier stages. I've been searching for a guide to the quest (the one in Fiel's 4th job skill table isn't cutting it), so I must know, is there a special sequence to the rocks or am I just getting bad luck (and the shield drops from a random rock)?

There is no special sequence, it's completely random. About the only thing you can do to help is to hit the same rock each time, that's how I did it.

Yeah, I found that quest really annoying. Do you have a friend that's a bishop/ priest that might be willing to help you with door? Just use a nearest town scroll after each attempt and get the priest to door you back to the exact map
