Black Friday Sale failure - call to action
#1
(Sorry, I haven't been able to find the Call to Action board, if it was actually created.)

It's been a week, and Nexon is still silent on the issue of the Black Friday Sale being glitched. I think it's safe to assume they believe, or they want us to believe, that all the people logging tickets and complaining on their forum (as well as unofficial forums such as this one), are sore losers, bawwwing because they weren't quick enough on the mouse button.

Are we just going to take it as yet another example of Nexon's horrible customer service, which we continue to live with because we're addicted to the game?

I believe something needs to be done to make them acknowledge their failure and reschedule the sale or provide nx compensation (no, not another 2x event) to their user base.

I don't think you lost any nx though. o.o

I did.

I bought NX with the intention of getting a pet and its equips.
I was able to get the pet, since they did go on sale. But the equips didn't, so I don't have any.
Right now I am faced with the option of either buying more NX to buy the equips at full price (which makes the NX I already bought essentially useless), or not doing so and having the NX I paid for the pet go to waste (since a pet without equips is useless).

That's not their fault that you went and bought NX beforehand. Perhaps you should read their policies. They reserve the right to change the game without owing you anything. Even if they didn't, they still don't owe you.

They advertised a sale. 7 sales, actually, 2.5 of which never happened.

If Walmart advertised a sale on Sunday, and come Sunday had nothing on their shelves but signs indicating what merchandize was supposed to be on sale, would you also say they were within their rights? I think the BBB would not agree. Possibly even the Law, not sure of American "truth in advertising" laws.

Yeah, even though my server wasn't affected by Nexon's incompetence, I can't imagine how many people went out and bought NX after looking at what would be on sale.

Where is that Call to Action board anyway? It was a great idea, and I'm almost positive it passed the voting part...

Nexon hasn't even acknowledged that there was a problem with the sale, that alone is unacceptable.
#9
What happened at the sale? (I didn't buy anything at the BFS).

I got the pet equips just fine, the number that were sold did not change, the display was just glitched. Nothing went wrong so stop complaining that you were TOO SLOW.

On the 8am Sunday sale, all pet equips came up with an initial quantity of -1, in all servers except Scania and Bera. So, no one could get any. Sold out.

On the 11am Sunday sale, all items came up with that quantity. Now, while one might conceivably believe all pet equips sold out within seconds, it's impossible for all the clothes listed at the 11am sale to have sold out that quickly. We saw on Friday and Saturday that clothes sell slowly. Also, items that really sold out (like AP resets, Gacha tickets, and store permits) had their quantity dwindle to 0, not -1.

The 8am Monday sale started at midnight, but all items again started at -1.

So, as I said, 2.5 out of 7 sales never happened. Nobody got those items at reduced price, except in Scania and Bera.

If you are serious you really really need to do some research before you share your oblivious and therefore useless views on the matter.
If you are just trolling, then "ha ha ha"

 Spoiler

I do say, kind sir, you are sadly mistaken.

As for the issue on hand, Nexon doesn't care. Unlike Walmart, Nexon's items aren't real. Their "store" is nothing more than a digital gallery, which you pay digital money for. When you make the transition from cash to NX, your money is no longer real money. It's virtual currency now. you've made a donation to Nexon, and in return they put virtual cash on your account.

Even if it's not your way of thinking, it certainly seems that Nexon thinks of your cash this way. Once they get your money, it's theirs.

Adding to this, there have been plenty of times where real stores advertise a sale, but goof up somewhere and simply can't put the sale. Some retailers take the blow, and allow customers to buy the item on sale, so long as they bring the article that stated there was a sale on the items. Some simply don't do the sale at all, and sincerely apologize to their customers.
