Anyone speak Japanese?
#1
All of my Japanese friends are uncertain about this, too. The name of Head Ninjas in Japanese is 忍頭 but everyone is uncertain on how to say it. I've even seen people in JMS using super megaphones to ask how to say it.

The two most popular ones are shinobi kashira and nintou. Neither are easily type-able to get 忍頭. So, if anyone else speaks JP on these forums, what is your guess?

My guess is nintou. lol

As I've said before, not fluent in Japanese or anything, but I can guess that it's nintou. Actually, I think I've seen it written out as nintou in furigana before somewhere (I still rely heavily on furigana for unfamiliar kanji). I've never actually read 頭 as kashira before, when I see it I read it as tou. Though, that may be more out of habbit from memorizing 豆 as tou and using that as an easy way to memorize 頭. I'll try to find where I saw it written before in furigana, it was on an image in some old Japanese blog I used to keep up with a while back.

Edit: Just used my furigana injector to double check and it read as nintou as well. Not that you can fully trust it, it does get the wrong readings at times.

Not that I know any Japanese, but 忍頭 is ren tou in Chinese (Mandarin, yun tao in Cantonese), so I'd probably pick Nintou rather than the other option~

Dunno what it means in Chinese... individually it would me Endure and Head?

忍 - endure, bear, suffer; forbear

By the way, are there any errors in the following:
誰かに精液をあなたの中に射出させることの喜び。
?

(Don't ask why I need to know this.)

I can communicate okay in Japanese... but my weakness is kanji reading because I read them in Chinese instead of kana >_>
My guess is shinobi kashira, I heard it in some ninja film/anime, someone referred to their leader as "我らのかしら". I think the reason why you can't type it easy into Kanji with IME is because sometimes it has different modes, and normal mode don't have some of the sayings that aren't used very often.

Okay, I just asked my Japanese friend. I asked how how she would read it, and she said that she can related it to the "boss" if it was read as shinobi kashira. "Nintou is like, it's sound with no meaning to me. Maybe in a certain sentence, but in the case you're thinking of, 'head ninja' would be shinobi kashira."

She's 25 and a native Japanese speaker, so I trust her with all my Japanese dilemmas. I'll take her word for it. So guess I was wrong in my first post. Stunned

In either case, I'd just type it out as にんとう anyway, since it's faster. If you have any other questions you want me to ask her, let me know.
