Since when did half of us here have these kind of thoughts? Only MasPan is having these thoughts. I even double checked this thread to make sure.
Your post only applies to MasPan-and MasPan isn't even a troll, so you can omit that point out.
But yeah I kinda agree, albeit in a less "harsh" manner of tone.
You're right; the phrase doesn't apply literally. I just skimmed and saw lots of people saying "yea, I've worried about being remembered too," or something of the sort, and figured the thread was filled with empathy, not sympathy.
And I'm sorry if I sound harsh, but considering many people I interact with on this forum love playing "troll the F/P" with me, I never know when people hear what I have to say and actually consider it as a serious thought. This is one of those cases; my point is not to be harsh, but to realistically say feelings of confidence and self-worth in life don't come from an active online life, but from a rich and successful contributive life to the real world.

I am sorry that I was not awake earlier to catch this thread Brandon. Many people feel this sort of thing at one time or another. Everyone wants to be remembered, and everyone has the need to feel that they have touched people in their life. If you really feel the need to make more of an impression on the world, go out and try to become friends with more people, no matter where you are. Somewhere you should be able to find someone who can become a lifelong friend. And definitely keep going after Jackie.
Good to hear that you're not as bad as you were before.

Quoting Jacky here "It's Jacky with a y, don't forget it."
Lol. Someday I hope to introduce her to everyone here, and I don't want to get yelled at for that. Anyways, feeling a lot better, but still a bit depressed. Gonna spend some time tonight talking to Jacky, managed to get some texts going back and forth with her last night (she sent a pic of a lobster at the grocery store she was in, I made jokes about taking its rubber bands off and hugging it, then how it was hugging too hard, and I loved it, but love hurts. Lol. Oh, and his name was Fred).
@ Froz, I'm a very homebody-ish person. I didn't realize until lately just how much I miss everyone from Oklahoma. It took me years to build those friendships, and, while most people at least still see 2 or 3 people around campus from their high school years, every time I've made friends in the past year I've been seperated from them within a few months, including a girlfriend while I was at school for my job (she got sent to Japan, me to Miami. We'd been dating for a month. Yea, we figured out pretty quickly that it wouldn't work out, though we both said if the oppurtunity comes up in the future we would try again). My roommate, who is pretty much my only good friend here, is frequently away for work related things or spending time with his girlfriend, so I'm lucky to see him more than once or twice a week. I'm used to
A). High school
B). 80 guys in one large room hanging out
C). 1-2 roommates in a building with lots of people and several common "lounges"
Being absolutely alone is just...awkward, but I'm not fond of randomly going out and doing things by myself.

Sorry MasPuce, my girlfriend's name is Jackie with an ie, and I think I ended up confusing myself. xD
I'll also agree. Going out and just talking to people is just weird sometimes. If it weren't for school, I'd have 1 friend.

Isn't Jacky/ie the cutest name ever though?

I'll agree, Jacky/ie is one of the cutest I can come up with, but I'd still have to vote my favorite at "Rose". Nobody is ever named that, but I always thought it was a really pretty name.
On that note, I might name a daughter that.

Cute =/= pretty necessarily. Cute makes me smile, laugh, and feel happy (but still good looking). Pretty is fun to look at, but dull. I've always liked the name Rachel, hence me in the "name your child" thread giving that for girls.

Okay so i really don't know if this will help a bit, but the following link is a good article to read (not really an article, hell ionno what it is):
http://skdesigns.com/internet/articles/p...y_of_life/
I read it once a long time ago. It made me realize that never have i ever been truely alone in this world - the spirit of people exists within each others' hearts, and you only have to remember them to be happy for the time being. You may not have done as awesome as some famous people, but even being yourself, you've managed to do something great in the hearts of people around you and the people you've met.
Good luck =)
