A way to use the Family system fairly
#1
I always thought the family system was sort of an abuse to the juniors, in that they only give rep to their seniors and get nothing back (well, except for the rare cases in which the senior really helps the junior to play the game)

So I've thought of a way to make it fair:

Take these three characters:
Character A: lvl 70
Character B: lvl 71
Character C: lvl 69
First, character A is accepted as junior of character B, then character C is accepted as junior of character A.

Second, character C levels up to level 72 while the others stay at the level they are. Then, character C adds character B as junior.

That way all characters benefit from all the others, either directly or indirectly and there is still one extra slot for an extra junior =D.

Here is a pic illustrating that:

IMO, too much rep being wasted when the junior outlevels the seniors, and too much hassle changing the family layout every 2 levels, not to mention the fact that 2 people would be forced to stop leveling while they wait for 3rd person to surpass them both.

Yeah, but once you get the thing set up, whoever has the highest level gets the most rep, the second one gets medium ammounts and the lowest level get less. So it rewards effort in leveling with rep gaining, which in turn gives everyone more rep.

The trouble to set it up at first is the only drawback, though it could be done at, say, level 20 when getting levels is REALLY easy anyway.

And also, this can't be done, since it would say that character A is already in character C's family.

Boo, I was actually wondering about this just a few days ago and hoping it would work.

couldnt you just sever ties with the characters?

Yeah, that's what I did with my alternate characters. My friend and I both made sub characters and took turns outleveling each other to give each other rep. We'd then sever our current tie and have the higher one add the lower one.

But the whole point is that the OP's rep triangle won't work.
