Newbie says Hai!

I've read these forums for a few months and these boards seem to be nice and friendly. Yay! I do have a question. . . when you look at a monsters stats(?), you know the page that lists the HP and MP and stuff, What do those numbers mean? The defense numbers and magic attack numbers and the others. . . what do they mean to my character? :f6:

Thanks for looking and answering. Smile

Welcome to Southperry, Land of Pineapple, Chin, Goggleemoticon, and Poast.

Sorry, ClawofBeta. Rolleyes

As for your question, I believe there's a calculator for the formula somewhere around. Try searching.

Those numbers show how 'strong' a monster is.
HP would be HitPoint, "endurance", or simply how much you need to hit the monster to kill it.
MP should be ManaPoint, the amount of 'magic' it has to use special attacks on you
Defense is its defense capacity, obviously, there are people working on how Defense mathematically works. But for a rough idea, the more defense a mob has, the less you hit it for.
Attack would be similarly related, more attack = it hurts you more.

You also have these stats yourself, and it works the same way it does for monsters, with corresponding interactions:
Your attack vs. monster's defense
Your accuracy vs. monster's avoidability
etc...

And welcome.

Hello and welcome to Southperry. :3

I'd like to point out if the obnoxious people who post in colors ever annoy you there's an option to turn them off in the user CP titled: "Remove user font modifications." Simply check the box and browse the forums without eye strain. :]

I'm a bit slow to post this, but I was busy. New users/posters are required to post in puce (font color cc8899) for 2 weeks after joining Southperry. Use my post as an example on how to do so.
