Im surprised SP doesnt have a Star Craft thread.
Anyways which one of you play SC Vanilla, SCBW, SC (LOL NINTENDO 64), and will be playing Star Craft 2.
For those of you that dont play, star craft is a popular sport in South Korea. It is a strategic game which has a similiar game engine as Warcraft 2, and is generally considered one of the best games of all time. It has three main but distinct races-
Zerg- hive mind that has cheap units and buildings along with fast production. Units have the ability to burrow, and has flying and moving supply units (called farms in War Craft). Most buildings have to be built on the "creep" which is organic purple slime. Tend to look rather disgusting. Side note- WORKERS BECOME THE BUILDING
Protoss- religious race that has expensive units and upgrades but has an easy tech tree and high quality units. Requires PYLONS to operate any other building besides the Nexus (Not headquarters of Nexon). Many say that the protoss drone is the best worker.
Terran- The human race. lol. Im gonna be as unbiased as I can but these are a bunch of prisoners that have the most powerful workers called SCVs (powerful means the highest attack power which is rather... weak). Their units are rather bulky but they have the fastest unit in the game and their airforces arent shabby either. Also has a cheap scouting ability called "COMSAT STATION". Their power and prices are mediocre.
With that being said, if you play, lets play with each other sometime. Also, feel free to share some strategies. If you dont pick up either a legal or illegal copy of the game and go through the campaign. You will quickly get addicted although the game consumes only about 0-20 USD and a whole lot of time if you want to play. There are tournaments such as the WCG which gives a fair amount of money IF YOU WIN.
