When to lay off windraiders
#1
Currently from levels 65-68, Windraiders have given me a solid .09% per kill with my week-long doublexp card. The card expires friday, by which time I will be a 70-71 hermit. (68 at the time this is posted)
Once XP returns to normal, do I quit raiders and find a better spot? Or do I keep going for a level or two?

Windraiders should be able to last you till level 80.

why the hell would you leave there now. these days everybody just wants to keep moving up to training maps where they dont even know what the hell they're doing. i stayed at hoodoos til lvl 85 with a solid 20% per hour. Windraiders will probably the best exp for you until at least lvl 110.

o_O himes will be faster than anywhere else the second avenger hits 6 targets, anyone staying at raiders till 110 isnt taking advantage of the other great training spots we have

I left Windraiders at 69 cause I was annoyed @ all the crowding at Lower Assscent. Took a bit of a hit on profits and hunted Stormbreakers instead in Jack's cave.. around 85 I moved to Nightshadows & been there since.

I do make money elsewhere though, so far it has not been particularly profitable (50 badges can take 4-5 levels since they give so much exp each) so I used APQ bonus drops to buy summoning rocks.

Windraiders (Lower Ascent) should last you up to 9x.

You can start himes around mid 9x, which is the point where you should have 6 hit avenger, max copycat (hopefully), Lv. 5+ FJ, and your HP potions being strong enough to heal your HP in one go (Lv. 0 - 8 alchemist, depending on your type of potion and W. DEF).

Of course, there's always sniping Jr. Newties in the safe zone from 8x but that's boring as hell....

I agree with this. I left at level 77 or 78 on my archer. (I was still pulling 15% an hour at the time with 1x). I suggest you stay until at least level 75.

Training to level 110 on wr is insane however.

Two-hitting Windraiders is fun as hell though.

1-hitting them with fury is even more fun. They're decent money at 13x, but the exp is utterly laughable.

You leave Windraiders when you no longer gain 15-18% an hour there on 1x.

Why? Even 10-12% an hour with the profit they have is great training.

I don't know how you Hermits/NLs can stand training at Himes... I tried around late 90's, it was horrendous EXP. I dunno, maybe I'm luring them the wrong way or something, but it was around 8-10% per hour without double EXP, which is even less than at regular Squids for me. That and the damage they inflict is high (for a Hermit), as well as if one spawns when you're about to tap your Avenger key, and it happens to be in front of you, you end up punching it. <_< . . .

Himes was the most terrible place I've ever went to. I trained at Squids1 from late 70's until 110, practically. I also leveled at least once per day, with double EXP events back then, along with a Double EXP card, I was getting anywhere from 3-4 levels per day.
