I need to help my friend

Ok, I am trying to help my friend reinstall maple story without issues occurring. He told me each time he tried to uninstall and reinstall, hes gettin this error data1.cab error. And he has not been successful at all. And i need someone with experience to help me explain to him how to go about fixing this problem. I will be most grateful to have my friend playing maple story again
