How to train a cleric with no effort.
#1
Anyone who's been to Horntail knows this map.
 Spoiler
Every time you close that chat without pressing "Next", the lizard lowers your HP by 500, to a minimum of 1.
Heal is not affected by the 100 attack anti-bot when healing party members. My Bishop friend found that by leaving heal on all night, he gained 500k exp in 8 hours healing me. I did the same with my Cleric later, and gained 400k exp in 8 hours. It triples when you add an HP warrior into the mix.

Just a fun thing I found out that I'd like to share. It's not exactly a good way to train, but it's convenient if you're really lazy, and don't care about rock-based-botting.

Hm. Does it require effort on the person taking damage's part or can they just put a rock on esc?
An HP DK would be faster exp for the cleric if it does require someone to be at the computer.

Edit: I've always wondered if that guy actually killed you with the 500 or not. Awesome.

Isn't that considered botting?

Isn't being an HS mule at Newts considered botting? No one's done anything about it.

Do you autopot, or just keep going with no MP and waiting for it to regenerate on its own?

Auto recover MP, still got 500k exp in a night.

Rock on escape; if you have 2 computers you could just leave it on. With an HP warrior that has about 10k HP, you're set. My friend decided to actually train her Priest this way, since she has 5 computers, and an HP warrior. Her Priest never gets the HP warrior to full health, she makes 1.4 mil exp in an 8 hour period.

If you look at it from that perspective, yes. I'm not exactly a Nexon supporter, so don't get me wrong and assume that I'm a party-pooper or anything though. I was simply asking a question.

Then again, leeching and botting aren't too far off. You're getting EXP either way, and both methods are for the lazy. So, you do make a good point.

This is not training. This is botting which makes you illegit.

Geez... people these days.

It's the same as leeching, except you have a key held down and you don't spend any money. As someone said earlier, a Priest with HS held down AFKing at Newties is also botting, but no one seems to make a fuss about that.

Either way, it was only an experiment. I give you the results, what you do with them is up to you. I've long stopped training my Cleric.

The "except you have a key held down" is what makes it illegit. Priests who put things on the HS key are also illegit, that doesnt mean this is legit.

They're both methods of botting and against the rules.

The difference between this kind of botting and leeching seems like semantics.
If you want to hold that this type of botting is illegit either:
A: the laziness factor and non-active training is the complaint in which case it is just as bad as leeching.
OR
B: the fact that it goes against Nexon's TOS in which case anyone who has ever broken ANY TOS is illegit.
