HP/MP boosts?
#1
I have a level 87 priest that I'm considering resetting to LUKless. What I would like to do is to gain more HP/MP per level, but am unsure how much of a difference it actually is. I have 70 base LUK right now (66 resets will wipe out my meso savings when I MTS for NX for them, but if it helps with HP/MP, I'm all the more willing).

So my question is, how much difference would it make to my max HP/MP per level by, say, level 160, if I reset my LUK?

Thanks.

Here's typical HP/MP for 160 Luckless. Hope it helps! Acceptable equipments and no points spent on either HP or MP.

You'd get at least 6 more MP per level (540 total in 90 levels). Your HP would be unaffected unless you HP washed, but I don't think that's very effective or useful for magicians.

O.T. One of my bishop friends that I hortail with washed about 110 hp.
He is the only lvl 170 bishop that can properly protect seduce bait
through the tail. He can still gen a few times w/o having to pot.
~110 mp isn't so necessary when lvl 170, but it really helps if you
can take a hit from tail.
/O.T.

I'd say you could lose about 2k mp by lvl 200? Thats just an estimation. No hp would be lost. Biggrin

lvl 87 isnt that hard to gain now a days. mayb a week of leeching?

anyway....it might be more worth it to just start a lukless. along with reseting, ur also re-paying all your equips. if you are that concern about hp/mp .... you're looking to gain a +870 mp (with new int base lukless gear from lvl 8-> and higher base int count)

Well, the Magician MP Gain Formula isn't really that simple, since it does add up from your previous level up gains. So converting to lukless wouldn't be too good of an idea at level 87 for just pure MP gain reasons, and would be better to start a new lukless character.

For future reference, the formula is:

MP Increase Level * 2 + math.floor(Total INT / 10) + rand(22, 24)

we're advising TS to do the same thing (if he cares so much about hp/mp).

i didnt use a formula because it was too much work, the number i pick is a very rough estimate. since we dont even know what int equips TS had from before 87 (since most ppl invest at around 60-70 on reg builds) while lukless tend to be well funded strait from lvl 8.

I thought magicians lose like 38 mp to wash 8 hp? Your friend lost a good 500+ mp. You would be much better off with HP equips.

That's why we have Magic Guard. Tongue With his HP, he can take a max damage of 10544 (Max HP * 5 - 1).

I have always wondered. Is it like 80% is take from mp and 20% from hp or what?

It all depend on your total int. The more total int you have the more mp you loose when you reset an ap. So if you ever consider hp washing as a mage, doing then all when your in the 1st and 2nd job would get you the most effective hp gain:mp lost ration.

Also, the hp gain is between 6 and 10(maybe up to 14 hp) per ap add and the most you can loose on mp is about 120-130mp when you have max int.

Anyway, for most people hp washing is just a big waste, because mage can huge hit with magic guard and having more mp just make training cheaper, so by removing mp to get some hp, you barely increase your chance to survice on boss and just make your training more expensive.

Bishops can take more damage since they have 30% physical damage reduction and 50% element attack reduction Smile. So as long as the reduced damage is below 10555, I'll be fine (at that level anyway).
