So I just bought GW2.

Any advice, tips or heads up deserve mentioning?
I have no idea how is the game, or what jobs/classes are there.
I bought it because its on "sale" with a whooping 75% discount, and I heard a lot of positives comments about it.

I'll teach you something important which I had no idea about until a few weeks after I started playing:
You have a material storage to hold all of the crafting materials you find pretty much everywhere, you access it by talking to any of the crafting profession trainers in a big city.
You can send all the materials in your inventory into the material storage by pressing the gear/settings sign in the inventory and pressing "send all materials to storage" or something like that.

I didn't know about any of this and ended up dropping a bunch of crafting materials to free up space, which made getting into crafting (which is a good source of exp) later much harder than it would have been.

Also you can assign a quick 180-degree turn in keybindings, which can really come in handy during fast paced fights.

Any recommended server?
