Blaze Wizard soloing Chaos Vellum

DeanNim Wrote:isnt PDR essentially Physical damage resistance ? i am confused.

PDR = Physical defence rate (and MDR = Magical defence rate, but everyone just says PDR for both for whatever reason), and the other thing is Elemental Resistance, Physical, bizarrely, is considered an element.

PDR/MDR can be negated with ignore mob defence potential/set effects/nebulites/whatever, stuff like 30% ignore DEF on a weapon at unique for example would work for that, but the elemental resistance is something separate entirely. Pretty much every high level boss is resistant to every element, and when a boss is resistant to whatever element you're attacking with, your damage gets cut flat in half. It's essentially a means of doubling a bosses HP, unless you're a class that can ignore elemental resistance.*

I think elemental resistance is gonna go the same way Flash Jump did, in a year or two or however long this game lasts after all the impending revamps every class is gonna have some form of elemental resistance ignore to 'even the playing field'. I like the idea of elements in game but when it's used for this purpose it really is just stupid.

*Luminous, Evan, Blaze Wizard, Arch Mages, Paladin, Cygnus Knights, Mercedes(?), Buccaneer(?) all ignore some elemental resistance iirc, dunno if that list is entirely accurate though.

Green4Ever Wrote:Actually, Elemental Decrease evens the playing field. Why do you think Bishops and Battle Mages get left behind in the dust? Because they lack Elemental Decrease.

Since I was saying how big of an advantage it was and exlplained a way to give some balance for every class, I said that it does even the playing field. Is elemental decrease the same thing though? Since I was talking about like paladins void element skill. I wasn't aware battlemages were "behind in the dust" either. I saw they had very good dps% according to the training center thread. If battle mages are "in the dust" with high dps% and no elemental decrease doesn't that make every lower dps% class with no elemental decrease also "in the dust"?

Night Walker for comparison. Roughly the same video length and he only gets to the hyper beam stage.

NW moveset isn't as useful for vellum. His attacks have a fair amount of set up time even if he doesn't have to do anything but attack. He doesn't really have fantastic mobbing nor a "spammable" mobbing skill like that fire orb, so he can't take advantage of vellums tail anywhere near as effectively as BW. He can't do anything to set up while vellum is hiding like BW, and the set up he achieved for his dps when vellum is above ground disappears when he hides (like AB soul seeker). This was expected knowing what NW can do, but NWs still absolutely rape every other boss.
