This question has been bugging me for some time, but the fact that I never got married discouraged me from making a thread asking about it, now I am.
We all know you can only get 1 ticket from Amos every 6 hours, call it event A.
Hence the most one can apq successively is 2 times. (commonly known)
Question is: Are there any other restrictions to successive apqs excluding the inability to obtain a ticket? (call them event B, C, etc), or
As long as one has a wedding ring and a ticket, he can apq regardless it is his first or 100th apq of the day? (which I believe to be unlikely, since apq has been out for a long time and I never heard of this case)
Scenario:
- apq normally on Drk, get another ticket and apq again on Drk
- get on Apq mule and get a ticket, drop it and loot on Drk.
=> Can the Drk enter again and why/why not?
P.S: I'm not really looking for the answer that the Drk can't enter again, if that is the case. What I'm seeking here is a logical and comprehensible explanation as to why not.
Thank you for your time, Happy New Year and Happy Mapling.

I'm not sure how it works, but on my Priest, I made an apq ticket then drop it for my Drk. Later I came back to meet Amos he asked: "Do you have your ticket with you", which means he recorded that my cleric made a ticket earlier.
=> He can also record that my Drk hasn't made one.

I was always under the impression that the tickets were untradeable but then again, what do I know, Ive never been married in this game and have never apq'd, lol. Either that, or that they werent meant to be traded, so that thus, only the tickets you own can be used by yourself, which is basically the same as making them untradeable.
Oops, wrote something like this in another thread before I saw this one XP
I was saying if it's possible to do 3 APQs in a row by storing 1 ticket in your merchant store that you got a say few days ago, then you get another ticket more than 6 hours before you APQ, do a double APQ in the usual manner, retrieve the ticket you put away in your store, and do another one?? Anyone tried?
You can't ever do a 3rd PQ on one character, since it checks if it has been 6 hours since you entered before you can make a ticket, or before the NPC checks if you already have a ticket.
2nd PQ just works if you get the ticket 6 hours earlier, and you HAVE to go in to be able to make another ticket on that character.
i personally tried doing 3 in a row by drop trading the ticket from my mule to my main... didn't work as the ticket is somehow voided once dropped, i tried relooting it on the mule and amos told me to wait 6 hrs to make a ticket to get in so it had to have been voided....

You can only APQ once per 6-hour period. This "I can APQ" can only be activated every 6 hours, begins when you make a ticket, and expires when you use a ticket. If you get a ticket from another character "I can APQ" was not activated, making you unable to APQ. If you already have a ticket and make another ticket without using the first, the "I can APQ" clears.
For example...
I make a ticket at midnight and APQ at 6am. The time restriction on the first ticket expires at 6, allowing me to make another ticket after the first APQ and go in again. Say I make the second ticket at 6:15am, making the timer for the second ticket begin at 6:15am. I can't go in again until the 6-hour restriction lifts at 12:15pm regardless of how many tickets I may have.
Again, If I make a ticket at midnight don't APQ, I can still make a second ticket at 6am. However, making another ticket would force the timer to reset, starting another 6-hour period and allowing me to only go in once.
the "ticket" doesnt play any role in the APQ script. in fact, i dont know why did they bother adding it. basically, the next time you talk to the npc after making a ticket, he will give you the "do you want to enter" script instead of the "do you want to make a ticket". they couldve just removed the ticket from the game, and thats it.

If you feel like collecting more Keys, you can also got as many tickets as you want.
Just cancel the NPC chat after he gives you the ticket (press esc. or click close instead of "ok") You get your ticket but you can't APQ because he hasn't activated the 2nd part yet which is how the game decides whether you can go in.

This made more sense than I have been looking for :f6:
@Resonance: I understand what you're trying to get at, but it was really confusing for some reason xD
@Stereo: Can you further explain the mechanism by which "the game decides whether you can go in"?
Something makes me feel Resonance's explanation was nearly, if not exactly, correct, still, it's not very in-depth for a humble brain like mine to grasp.
My theory:
Spoiler
There are 2 required courses of action to enter APQ:
A/ Making a ticket (Talking with Amos until the last chat box appears)
B/ Registering that you're qualified for an APQ ('accepting' Amos' last chat box) => apparently can only be achieved by completing event A
Spoiler
At this point, we can understand why a foreign ticket doesn't qualify.
Once event B has taken place, both events A and B falls under the 6-hr-restriction's effect, meaning:
you can't make another ticket before the next 6 hours have elapsed, and
The previously made ticket (or more precisely speaking, your previous registration) gets disqualified.
Spoiler
this explains why we can't apq 3 times in a row, because when you make your 2nd ticket, your 1st-ticket registration gets cancelled.
Thus, entering APQ (or using the ticket) itself doesn't reset anything in particular. It's the moment that you register yourself for APQ that matters. Once you complete that action, you'll have to wait 6 hours before you can:
- make another ticket, and
- register yourself again.
Can someone help me double check the reasonings? Much appreciated.
As you say, it resets from the moment you receive your ticket and end the NPC chat. I've confirmed this to have a 6 hour waiting period to the nearest minute.
It takes any additional tickets from you when you exit the first APQ, so stocking up tickets and trying to mass run is impossible. I'm sure you can buy tickets and just keep going all day though you would have to buy them one at a time.
