I wasn't aware that Mercedes was already old when she was frozen. More proof that I do not pay attention to MS' storyline.

I find the pairing of Evan and Mercedes to be quite creepy actually. she's a hundreds of year old Elf Queen and he's basically a child.

That's exactly my point though, while Mercedes looks young she is still way older than average people. It's a matter of the mind, not the body. To her, Evan would literally be just like a newborn since time would likely seem different to her.

Also you'd think Mercedes would be quite mature given her advanced age compared to other characters, but no, her and Athena have both suffered from bad writing which made them both sound crazy and childish.

Age =/= maturity. Maybe Nexon Korea intended them both to sound crazy and childish. Infact, Aran, Mercedes, Luminous and Phantom have all the rights to be all the crazy and childish they want to be after being frozen for a thousand years.

I fail to see how. Aran and Mercedes' intro suggests that they were unconscious the entire time. it's not like they spent 100(0?) years awake trapped in ice.

Look at Austin Powers right after he was frozen. Although he was clearly unconscious, right after being unfrozen he couldn't control the volume of his voice and was clearly off-balance both mentally and physically. That was what, 30 years? Imagine what 100 years would do to our pixelated heros.

Phantom and Aria are an obvious couple, but Nexon's official book "Secret Story + hero" has Luminous stating that he sees Lania as a sister and gets reaaaalllyy uncomfortable when people put them together as a couple.

So maybe the Evan and Mercedes thing is just Mercedes missing Freud? Nexon seems to have a thing for having Mercedes and Freud around each other as far as all the past scenes go. (Save Phantom's recruitment.)

I'm just annoyed that they pay so much attention to them.

Adventurer sub-classes don't even have their own unique individual artwork for them (Other than Dual Blades and Cannon Masters - the "new" adventurers). No wonder we're always shafted when it comes to balance.
