They all have the same drop table. Link 3 is popular because it's easiest to farm and has the best spawn.

I found the cores to unlock link 6,7,8,9 all at link 3. They all drop there, but 8 and 9 are the most common (i found 3 8&9 before i found the 67&7)

i've only found one link 9, but several of the others.

either way, vouching for this, they all drop in link 3.
