Fusion Anvils

Do fusion anvils transfer effects over too? So not only would an item have the appearance of a bain item or dojo gloves, but it would give you the corresponding effect over your character as well?

And does this apply also to effects from items in a set?

Pretty sure it's cosmetic only as your 'Function' item retains all of its stats.

As far as I know: individual item effects do transfer, as they are part of the item. However, the anviled item is not part of the set, so the set effect does not get activated (and, conversely, if you anvil a set item to look like something else, the set effect will still appear).

I see, that makes a lot of sense. I've been wondering about it ever since I saw some anviled gloves to look like Dojo gloves in the FM, and I wondered if it would apply to items anviled to look like the Blizzard set. that answers both of my questions, so thanks.

If this was possible we'd be flooded with these items. In fact I think the anvils would quickly escalate to protection scroll demand.

The effects they are referring to are visual. Such as the glow, it wouldn't carry "stat set" effects, because it doesn't carry any of the stats.

The visual effects are what this thread is about. by set effects I meant like the angel that shows up when you equip Maple equips, or the Polearms when you equip the Blizzard set, and the visual effects from Bain weapons and Dojo gloves.

Sorry if my original post wasn't clear enough, maybe "effect over your character" might not have been the best wording.

Oh, then yes they do carry over. At least as of the kaiser patch.
