Item tag stay or go? O_O

Say you have a weapon that's Name Tag'd and you want to use the Leafre weapon forger/upgrader person to make a shiner or something. Would the Item Tag stay if the Nisrock you used had a Item tag on it?

I'm 99% sure it won't stay.

1. forging in leafre removes the scrolls from that weapon, so if you had 3 scrolls on a weapon, and upgraded it to the higher one, those 3 scrolls would go.
   
2. why would you name tag a clean weapon?

Just get her to buy a dirtcheap one, surly buying a below average one with 0 slots would still get normal upgrades?

Well I know I can do all that lol or just buy a shiner. The thing is I have this Nisrock, one of the first ones on my server that I item tagged and sold, and I was thinking of getting it back to make it a shiner but I want the tag on it. lol I'm just going to tag a new bow.

Are bows even worth forging? I'm quit sure you'd lose money from the price of rocks, shiners are cheap last I checked... Unless of course prices are different in your server.

It's more of a "You have lost this Item" "You have gained this Item" thing...I think.

I know other people have said it already, but this isn't a welcoming thread, and leave that to ClawofBeta to use.

I'm 99.9% sure anything relevant to the Nisrock will be wiped when you upgrade it to a Shiner. After all, what the NPC is doing is taking away your Nisrock and giving you a Shiner. Not convinced? Imagine that the NPC is actually a player who wants your scrolled/name-tagged Nisrock for some reason in exchange for a Shiner.
