Think you just have to recast stance once you get into Azwan room (the room when the timer starts counting). Found that it works for my character.

The Tower's attacks ignore stance regardless of what you do. Even my DS's 100% Stance is completely nullified by their attacks.

what link said, i have stance on autocast from my pet (best thing ever), i still get kb'd after dying

If you stop attacking when you see it, it's pretty easy to dodge if dodging is possible.
