Intel Processors

Ok. I`m getting a new laptop for Christmas, but I need help with the different Processors.
My current laptop is a Centrino®; the only type I know of. Thus, I`m asking you to explain about others if you can.

Centrino isnt' the processor, it's like a package of things.

I would suggest you post up a budget and people can help you find one that's of good value.

Most laptops I see in stores nowadays contain either coreduo, or core2duo.

coreduo and core2duo are the same thing except that core2duo is optimized for laptops (better power management, same speeds and function)

They both contain 2 cores, hence "duo".

I doubt that laptops have quadcores so I won't get into that.

as for your question, not really sure how to answer it since it's very vague.
