What's Next For Demethos

Once all the hype is gone and Demethos returns to normal rates, what do you think will happen (a very open-ended question)?

I think everyone will leave and the server will turn into something similar to Yellonde (minus the mad ranking pineapple ups).

I don't know really. Still not sure if I want to spend $25 on a world transfer to Mardia. But, I most likely will. I miss it far far far far far far far far far far far far far far far too much to stay in Demethos.

I am going to get the pineapple out once 2x is over. Some many Pirates KS my poor Cleric ;_;.

Poor Cleric? Heh. Demethos is chock-a-block full of clerics. I'm gonna stick around, because I know most people will be moving out, and my Page won't get constantly KSed by Pirates and Clerics. Hopefully the rude players will be the ones leaving. But time will tell. I'm staying, however.

The people who do this can get a lot further on 4x/8x exp than level 50. In the long run it will work out cheaper to buy the world change than it would for the extra 2x exp cards on the other servers.

It costs money to buy the cards for 8x exp, too.

Really, just go and level your main character...unless you're starting a new main character to transfer, it's such an epic waste of time and money to play on a server with 8x and ditch that character a couple weeks later...

What if you already wanted to start a new char? Let's say you get to 14x in the time of the 2x... That's more than you'd get for your $/time in a regular server... Well worth it.

Can't be too bad... assumptions of hacking aside, Demethos has people at or close to 17x already. Granted, mostly Mages and Pirates at the top, but still, in the month or so that Demethos has been open, people have leveled FAST. Now, what's so bad about taking a lvl 170 character to another server?

Okay, you got me there. This is the only situation that would happen. But a majority of Demethos (from what I've seen) just start a character to experience the 4x, then quit...

Then again, you might be able to level faster via leeching (not saying my views on it, just commenting).

It kind of kills the server when more people leave than enter. But who cares it's all great money for Nexon.

That's really the long and the short of it. They plan on the fact that people will make new chars for the 2x advantage, and with the release of a new class as well, they knew most would make their pirate on Demethos, and be chomping at the bit to pay for more NX to move their character when all is said and done. oh, and a RACE to see who can level their pirate the fastest in a given time period across all servers... gee, if that isn't just a subtle way to encourage people to leech, and oh, buy more 2x cards while you're at it!

i failed to reach my goal. oh well.

What's next? I'll be interested to see how many people leave.
