Known Issue: BigWigs Gift Box

Due to a security issue with the new BigWigs gift exchange system, BigWigs gift boxes are temporarily disabled.

Clicking on a Blessing of Greatness or Your Great Gift Box will prevent access to the Cash Shop and will lock your inventory. Relogging will remedy this as long as you dont click the gift boxes again.

All other items included in the BigWig package will function correctly. Please bear with us as we work quickly to resolve the issue and restore the BigWigs gift exchange system.

Recently, players have claimed to have been hacked.
Maybe this is the cause and not a database leak?

Sigh. I had to experience this first hand without warning several times. Luckily you can still talk to NPCs so you can use a Magic Mirror and fix it and it'll all be better.

Locked up his inventory and cash shop.
I believe that's not the glitch though, but rather nexon's temporary solution to the glitch.
Although, they don't use the words "security issue" much, which could be worrisome.

What i heard wasn't related to getting other ppl info or anything, rather that ppl where getting absurd amounts of maple points from it.

This is most likely it, I can't even use my MP at the moment. it says I have too many NX items when i try to buy an Owl.

Absurd amounts like glitching, or like the story of the foolish king who agreed to give a wise person as much wheat as could be laid upon a chessboard, with one grain on the first square and each subsequent square having twice the amount of grain as the one before it?

There was an exploit to get infinite amounts.
Seeing as this is the first use item to give us maple points, it was most likely exploited in the same way as the ap reset and character slot coupon were when they first came out.
