Paladin with maxed skills is pretty much god mode. You can have a lag spike and a few slip ups and still be at 100% HP.
Even if you're really weak, a Paladin's victory is still assured... it just takes longer.

If Pallys aint your cup of tea, high level thieves will barely ever be hit by anything if they have high enough LUK (makes avoid go up). They also have higher resistance to bad status effects thanks to Radical Darkness. Combine that with meso guard on a Shad or Magic Guard on a Phantom and you are practically immortal.

Paladins get hit for 1's or guard basically everything.
Battle Mages are pretty tanky and have a lot of hp recovery with blood drain (?) and a lot of iframes. Shadowers have iframes out the ass, shadow shifter, tons of avoid, smokescreen, and meso guard. Dark Knights have stupidly high hp and beholder for hp recovery iirc. Phantoms have a lot of iframes and a ton of passive dodge and avoid. Combine that with mg and theyre pretty tanky as well. Arans are pretty tanky with combo barrier and have combo drain to keep their health up. Buccs are kinda tanky (post revamp) and can dodge major attacks with ssk's iframes. Demon Slayers are very tanky and have some hp recovery skills to keep you alive. imo, other classes than these are much more dependant on autopot to keep them alive in the event that they're 1/1'd or hit for high damage. Mages with mg are too dependant on mana and none of them really have many iframes (except evan, who could maybe on the list). Archers are just lolno. Heros arent as tanky and are more focused on damage. DBs dont have the damage reduction of meso guard and dont have shadow shifter and have no real iframes on PB. NLs don't have meso guard and are just much squishier and dont have many iframes.
Thank you all for the Paladin suggestions -- I will have to make one now, just for the near-immortality.
Looks like they got I have also been planning on a Battle Mage (what can I say, I love mages), and I'll make a Demon Slayer whenever the ability to make new ones returns.

Demon Slayers aren't the greatest DPS, but not too bad. Pally's are nice, and so are shadowers, but night lords get shadow shifter which is +45% chance of avoid.
Just remembered shads and sins get that... Thieves are cool.

I dislike Assassins for some reason... possibly all the jumping around. I'm already making a Bandit, though, so if I get that up to Shadower that could be fun. Paladin = Get hit but take no damage; Thief = Never get hit. ![]() As for DS... I think I just want to make one because their skills seem cool and they have wings. Flying Chibi = Win!

Pally's have stance too, unlike Assassins... one thing that really pisses me off I hate climbing back up platforms after getting knocked off xD ah well.

Oh yes, I meant to ask... what's an "iframe" in this context, and how does it relate to bossing? For example, Raul says "Shadowers have iframes out the ass..." I'm assuming it's something to do with skill animations. Why is this good?
