Well, game won't let you use cursed scrolls on items that technically can't be destroyed, so 20%s not working doesn't necessarily mean 10%s won't.

To help you with some more speculation, I think I read on one of those special scrolls that it couldn't be used on cash items. But I don't remember which one.

I was more referring to the fact that the person I quoted was speculating about someone else's speculating. But if I can't... dammit, this means I need white scrolls.

You can't.
Since you can't use Chaos Scrolls and those are dubbed as special scrolls, you can't use any special scrolls on it.
