Question about Basic/Intermediate/Advanced Crystals

So, my question is - is there anything we can do with these?

I know that with the new job professions, we make items through smithing/crafting.

However, what about all the old crystals? Are they useless? Can I trade them in somewhere?

Monster Crystals are completely useless. Item Crystals are used now.

As was said before, useless now. Anything that isn't powder or regular ores that has to do with the old Maker system is dead now.

I had a couple mules full of those gems. Dropped them all.
