[Bishop] Which skill next?
#1
In a few levels, my Bishop will have *finally* maxed Bahamut. This leaves Big Bang, Mana Reflect, and Infinity left over. I'm not really sure which skill to go for next.

Big Bang is just a skill for show, and I won't really be using it for training. Plus, Big Bang 30 is so rare, I doubt I can pass it due to that fact...

Mana Reflect seems usable for bosses, but it doesn't deal enough damage for it to be significant for Boss Fights (maybe 10k at the most at HT with it maxed?). During training, it will be useless since I perfect 1hit Skelesaurus.

Infinity seems a little helpful, but I'm pretty sure I can afford an extra 40 seconds of pots every 10 minutes...

Thanks for any input, it's been bothering me and my friends and guildmates have diverging opinions~

Mana reflect for sure. That little bit of extra damage over the course of a HT run will add up very quickly. Since your ultimate is only have that of mages, Infinity won't be quite as useful to use as them. If your were a fire/ice mage then i'd say get infinity.

I would say get big bang. You might as well get a skill you can have fun with rather than a skill that cuts like 5 seconds off a boss fight or saves you like 3 mana bulls every ten minutes.

As of right now they all suck.
As of later I say infinity > bigbang > mana reflection .

Refection is sexy at pap and other monsters that do alot of magic dmg but you won't see a big difference till higher level monsters.

Big Bang isn't very useful but may be useful later on if more monsters like crimson guardians come out for hunting purposes. Also good for soloing zakum.
Saves you pots and does a good deal of damage when maxed.

Infinity I only say its good because of the monster crystal event Big Grin but it always save alot of pots if u manage to use it constantly ( I always forget to use it)

There's always the third job skills if you're still unsure.

Thanks everyone for the help. I think I'll go with Mana Reflect since it's another buff that lasts a while longer than Infinity (horrible reasoning >_<). I like to see buff icons on my top corner =p. Plus, I'm not that poor that I have to rely on Infinity (I doubt anybody is that poor). I also always forget to use Infinity like Omi so I don't think I'll even have a use for Infinity. As for Big Bang, I don't ever use that skill anyway~

I don't think I want to put 4th Job skill points in 3rd Job since I have Dragon and Doom left. Neither are that helpful...

Kevin, keeping in mind the crystal event is coming back in November/soon, I'd say that infinity is worth considering. I know you got your chair and whatnot already but you could always get stuff like a skillbook to sell (despite how against that you are, lol). Either way, the three skills are all situational so it just depends on which situation you feel is most important:

1. Looks (Big Bang)
2. Crystal Quest/other things you cant pot at (Infinity)
3. Bossing (Mana Reflection)

Thanks Jack. Your summary has made my choice easier to make. Infinity is the first thing I will cross off XD. And since I love to boss, I'd have to go with Mana Reflect first then Big Bang. Looks may be nice, but I also prefer something that is useful I think.

I won't actually be putting points into Mana Reflect for a few levels, since I have to do Bahamut also. I have plenty of time before making that choice~

Genesis, Angel Ray, Bahamut, and Maple Warrior in my opinion are the highest priority, with Gen and Maple Warrior being so important you should save points for them for immediately after you pass the book. Holy Shield is not that highly regarded, but I personally find it very useful in Zak and Horntail. The high lvl Bishops I know did not speak well of Mana Reflection, though I admit I did not ask them why they thought that. Big Bang to me seems so useless next to Gen that I have to wonder if it's just a trap for people that didn't find out about Ultimates after advancing.

Big Bang will add a little versatility to your array of attacks. It gives you a stronger non-elemental attack, so you're not stuck using claw or dooming holy immune monsters if you ever need to hunt any (like Guardians for gold boxes >_>). It also looks cool, and helps at APQ. =P

I have Mana Reflection maxed, and honestly, the damage is so insignificant, that it doesn't seem to ever matter. Plus it is contradicted by Energy Resistance. The most this skill has ever done for me is save like 4-5 ARs during a Pap solo.

And like Cyanne said, 30 points to save 3 Mana Bulls ever 10 minutes, is totally pointless. 1 point in infinity already accomplishes more than 1/4 of what the other 29 add, so leave it at that until the very end.

Thanks for the input. My Genesis, Angel Ray, Resurrection, Maple Warrior, and Holy Shield has been maxed for a very long time now (thanks to DarkLily HT and Ascendancy HT <333) - I'm glad my choices were not that bad. I think Bahamut is useless since it doesn't help me with training that much which is why I'm putting points into it now (It's level 26 at the moment). Holy Shield is incredibly useful in my opinion. In Zakum, it frequently uses his Lightning/Sealing skill. In Horntail, it's useful in case your party members fall down and get weakened or something. In Grandpa, it's extremely useful since he seals you half the time.

Thanks for your advices. I still believe Big Bang to be a very unnecessary skill. I never train with it, and my APQ's are just fine without me as an attacker (usually anyway). Not to mention, if I use Big Bang the moment I get bumped, it gets cancelled since I can't use the skill in the "air". I find this extremely annoying. When the Gachapon Chest event ends, I won't have a need to go to Crimson Guardians; not that I go there anyway.

I like Mana Reflection because it's a fun skill to have in my opinion. I put in 1 point in the skill a while ago since I wanted to see it in action. It's kind of amusing to see damage being reflected. Also, it's a long lasting buff and I love seeing lots of buffs on my screen =p.

As for Infinity, I agree with you and Cyanne. I believe nobody in MapleStory is so poor that they actually need Infinity. It may be useful for the Event Maps, but I never liked that event anyway - I wish it never existed.

Mana Reflection or Infinity first in any order. Big bang last since it's not very useful... (1 point is sufficient if you want a skill to play around with)

Erm Necroposting but just wanted to say I went with Mana Reflection. It may not be that useful, but it's super fun to have. Seeing me do damage for taking damage is pretty funny and it works on a lot more attacks then I thought. For example, all of Fishy's attacks are Mana Reflection friendly Biggrin. I don't regret going for this skill and I can't wait to max it out~

most don't actually use mana reflect at ht due to it hitting random things. You don't want to aggro things that deal damage once bothered. (leg stomp on right side)

I thought Big Bang was useless, but I was told it's better than Gen on holy-strong monsters. Not that you'll need it that much, but it's less worthless than the others.
