I'm using a laptop. It has two control keys. One on the left, and one on the right.
I can use any of the ctrl+ something shortcuts with both keys when not using photoshop. For example, I can use ctrl+c and ctrl+v on my browser with both the left and right ctrl keys. Doing so will copy and paste text as it should.
In photoshop, my left crtl key works but my right ctrl key stops working. For example, ctrl+k with the left ctrl key brings up preferences, but ctrl+k with my right ctrl key changes my active tool to the 3d object rotate tool (basically, it acts as if the ctrl key was not pressed).
Why is this happening? Both keys work outside of photoshop, but in photoshop one of my keys is ignored. It has never happened to me before today.
Separate problem:
Does anyone know why the vector (pen tool) makes squiggly lines even though the actual path is perfectly straight?

Refer to the above image. Image (1) shows the path. Image (2) shows the path superimposed on the line drawn using 'stroke path'. Image (3) shows the line drawn using 'stroke path'. Image (4) is just a zoomed version of image 1 to show that the pixels in the path are perfect grey ones arranged in a straight line, not anti-aliased in any way.
So my question is... why does my stroke path function cause the odd kinks in the drawn line? Zoomed in, the pixels (on the stroked line) are not in a perfectly straight line... but the vector line is. Why is this happening? Is the stroke path algorithm wonky or something? I don't know how else to get a perfect looking 1px line...
