NX Missing.

This is just wierd, theres NO possible way that ANYONE has my info asides from MAYBE just MAAAAYYYBBEEEE my boss @ work and that's only because I work at an ISP.

so I logged on today and I'm missing 2.5k NX, I check MTS and sure enough 1 arrow for crossbow was bought for said amount ( after tax )

nothing else was touched, nothing at all! I have smiling masks,blue maple danas 27 atk VSS my account is worth atleast $3k yet nothing was touched.


I just got a smiling mask in MTS but I purchased it on a mule. my info isn't on ANY list and never will be. I use ms on one PC, purchase NX on another.

the PC with MS only has some basic things on it.
Win 8 For Developers,MS,Team Viewer,nod32,chrome,Java Development Platform for Android,Cain and Access Driver. none of these things Aside from Team Viewer could Possibly effect me in any way in regards to sensitive information.

I clean my %temp% files daily aswell.

and Team Viewer is only acessed by me via my phone.



I don't understand this, HOW could someone have possibly gotten my info.

I communicate on a completely seperate PC.

I literaly only use the PC for making APPs and MS.

now because my Email domain was changed I have to wait to change my info.

from the other peeps here would a personaly managed domain be more secure than a gmail account.

Then he got hacked again this past few months. Don't know how don't know when, just that it has happened. You should probably reset everything ASAP though, or at least strip your own character.

stripping requires like 3 cannon shooters I have perfect sets on all my char and also decorative items.
I'm staying online for now. I know I don't have a keylogger because I have many other accounts with NX untouched.

I even have MTSable items, so I don't understand this. my IGN/User/Email is not used for anything at all other then MS.

on Forums I use different names in each one, on other MMOs I use a different name/email, on Programs I use a different one. I have a giant freakin notebook with like 80-120 adresses but that too is far from human eyes.

it's in a safe for christ sake and only I know if it's existance and whereabouts and even then if someone were to touch it I'd know because of the way I wrapped it can't be recreated.

Well, you aren't the only one to have NX pulled out of your account on a single arrow in the mts.

maybe theres a hack allowing hackers to sell arrows to random accounts with nx !

As for how it happened, the usual suspects:
- keylogger (just because your other accounts haven't been hacked yet, doesn't mean they won't be)
- bruteforce (when did you last change your password and how strong is it?)
- bypass (where the hackers never get your info, they just fool the server into believing they'd been authenticated already)

Was the 2.5k NX all the prepaid NX on the account?

As for why they didn't touch your gear and stuff, it's hard to guess. Could be something as simple as the kid assigned to your account being lazy, could be some technical issue preventing them from accessing the game servers at that moment so they used the bypass to get into the MTS server.

I can't believe Nexon is letting this go on so long. Especially with the NX thefts, we know they have the records. They know exactly who your char bought that arrow from, and where they sent the NX to afterwards. The hackers can't get the NX out of the system, and they can't keep it moving either (every move costs tax). How hard is it to track a bit of stolen NX and ban every account that touched it?
And it's even in their own best interests. Banning the goldseller accounts with the NX still on them is pure profit for Nexon. Just how lazy are they?

I specialize in Brute forcing, my Account Cannot be bruteforced in any reasonable amount of time.
my Password consists of Symbols ,lower and uppercase letters and letter from four different languages.
Bruteforcing a single account isn't something someone would do for the measly 2.5k prepaid NX I had on my account that day, they would take the items I have and sell them for a small fortune.

As for Bypass, Seams unlikley, why buy an arrow if they can put things like a smiling mask of mine in MTS and sell it to themselves for nearly nothing and resell for 50k NX.

I know for a FACT I don't have a keylogger on my PC, I monitor all Incoming and Outgoing Packets from my PC and my Emails. I don't check them manualy obviously that's impossible but I'd notice if something was up.

I've only downloaded official things , that is to say the programs up there from their official sources.

I feel like you're trying to brag more about your personal fort myers, the answer is obvious, the account information was leaked and they probably didn't have enough time to grab anything.

yup?? it happened to me too... but it only affect NX prepaid.... my 5 K NX gained via MTS are gone... but still have the NX credit and the MP O_O...

Only prepaid NX can be used on the MTS.
Judging by the scale of this thing, it's probably too much work to bother taking anything more than the NX, which I assume is their prime goal.
