So. 475% for 4 hits vs the classic 850% which is now 2 hits.
1440 ms vs 1080 ms
1319%/s vs 1574%/s.
Anyone else seeing the issue here?
Both hit the same amount of mobs. Aren't energy-based skills supposed to be stronger than their out-of-energy counterparts?

The current energy charge, we're assuming, isn't supposed to charge in 2 hits, meaning you wouldn't be using the lazer beam every second, meaning you'd need dragon strike to actually charge energy.
Otherwise yeah no need for dragon strike considering you charge in literally half a second.
Didn't see the damage percentages. hmm still sticking with dragon trike just cause it's the only thing that remains unchanged ever. It's like energy orb. everyone knows you can use it, but no one will.

Though the animation for the skill isn't going to change there is still time for changes to attack speed and damage.
Also, even though the energy blast has a greater horizontal range Dragon Strike has slightly better vertical range than it does. Though the energy blast is probably more apt to hit 8 enemies than Dragon Strike.

So. How do all the vipers like having 3 skills that max at 30 that won't help? (Nautilus, Viperisation, Blast is pretty crappy)

They ought to either increase Dragon Strike's range, or increase the Energy beam's speed and get rid of the other skill, it's somewhat pointless to have them both and they should come up with some other skill that at least increases the variation in skills for the class.
Assuming pvp is still left in it's current crappy form (I know they mentioned something about it being changed in tespia, though I haven't seen any mention of what was actually changed in the tespia topic) then the energy beam and nautilus would have some use in getting Buccs more points than they currently do in pvp.
