Allstat Set Bonuses

I remember reading a while back (around when the first sets were introduced to the game) that they didn't count towards secondary stat requirements for equips. Was this ever true, and if so does it work now?

I ask since the Rising Sun set as a whole gives 40 base stats and a +20 allstat bonus if you equip all 5 pieces. This'd be unbelievably useful to me if you could use that extra 20 secondary stat to equip things.

It's 39 base, not 40, 1 is a big difference. I hope this isn't true, cause I'm pretty sure when I switch over my entire set, I won't have enough dex for Empress without the Rising Sun bonus.

It didn't work before, but it does count now.

Just to confirm I just tried it out using the android set and it does work.

I had no experience to base it on, but I didn't see why the bonus wouldn't count earlier since it does now.

So you answered a Q&A thread with something you're not sure about. Then proceed to take offence when someone corrects you and provides proof (something you suggest I went out of the way to find, wrong again.), by making a smart ass comment indicating you don't really care and nothing's been proven.

The issue isn't with me "trying to disprove an argument that was never made.", I provided the thread for your benefit(since some people are the "SS or it didn't happen type"). The issue is you assuming everything's an argument and everyone is trying to argue with you.

Also stop assuming/believing in things you just make up in your head, clearly isn't doing you any good.
