Adobe Acrobat (PDF) plugin for Firefox is borked

So....

Recently I updated my Adobe Reader, but I think that update broke the plugin for Firefox. Whenever I try to open a PDF file on the browser, I'm greeted with a blank screen instead.

Any fixes for this? I'd rather view the file on the browser instead of DLing it and looking it through the Adobe Acrobat program itself.

You mentioned that you want to view PDFs in your browser to avoid downloading it. It appears that you either want to speed up load time or avoid littering your filesystem with random PDF files. Viewing a PDF within a browser requires downloading the file anyway, so I'm going to further assume that you specifically want to avoid Adobe Acrobat's slow loading time.

Using a different PDF viewer would solve your problem of not being able to view PDFs. I recommend SumatraPDF - it's light and loads quickly compared to Adobe Reader which I haven't needed for years. You could also set your browser to always automatically "Open With: SumatraPDF" to make sure that you don't save a copy of it on your computer. If you ever actually do want to save a PDF, you can right click and "save link as".

Sorry, but I don't know anything about the Adobe Reader plugin for Firefox. Firefox has been crazy with its version updates, and I suspect it might have something to do with that. Users have been complaining about add-ons not working correctly between full version number updates. If you don't like my other recommendation, there's always Chrome.
