They're doing freaking espionage!

@Teppi: Here's the link to the Meowth Episode. http://onepieceofbleach.com/pokemon-best...pisode-45/

The episode I ended up watching at first was Episode 43. Just scroll back 2 episodes.

11 years of trying to catch some kid's yellow mouse it took for one of them to realize that it's pointless.

Actually, nope. He left because he and Jessie and James were doing a sneaking mission, and Meowth got caught. Apparently the consequences for screwing up that mission was he was removed from Team Rocket. This was done by Giovanni himself. Yes the big man himself was mad enough to make an appearance before them.

considering this one mission got him fired, after all the blown up robots, it had to be one heckuva important mission

oh.
for that matter, when are jessie and james finally going to stop that pomegranate. they haven't been 'bad' guys since the first 3 episodes (and they're fucking good guys in the movies too) and they'd be better off doing something else. :l

Well, I think everything's back to normal. Went to Bulbapedia to show a friend the disaster, but now it says:

Bulbapedia Wrote:Meowth (Japanese: ニャース Nyarth) is a member of Team Rocket in a trio with Jessie and James.

Full story:

Bulbapedia Wrote:In BW042, while in Nimbasa City, Team Rocket prepared to put their latest plan into action. Later, in the next episode, Meowth was found injured by Ash, Iris and Cilan. While recovering, Meowth explained that while in Nimbasa City, he had botched up Team Rocket's scheme badly and was fired by Giovanni, leading to Jessie and James turning their backs on him. Later, Iris's Axew was kidnapped by a Scrafty, who wanted Axew's help to get its home back from a Mandibuzz. Using his ability to speak to both Pokémon and humans, Meowth not only helped get Axew back but also helped Scrafty get its home back and helped Mandibuzz return to her original nest. Afterwards, Meowth decided to travel with Ash and his friends, only for Iris to attempt to capture him in a Poké Ball. The capture nearly succeeded but Meowth broke out and told her he was going to help her regardless. Ever since, it seems to have become a running gag that he ends up in a Poké Ball at one point in an episode, as Iris tried twice (one of which was because Meowth didn't want a Purrloin to get caught), and by Cliff. However, in BW047, it was revealed that Meowth's being fired was fake and all just another one of Team Rocket's schemes.

Saw it coming.

Starting with Best Wishes. Team Rocket in general became pretty badass being able to complete most any mission the boss gave them. It seems like the only thing Team Rocket fails at is catching Pikachu.

5 episodes isn't exactly long-term.

In a real show it is, just that anime has 9000 episodes so nothing can be long-term. Short-term would be a single episode.
