100% crit rate

What's not to understand? I would rather invest in those. Stuff does cost money, you know...:\

I do think it is overrated. Last time I asked, boss damage doesn't work on Party Play bosses and of course not regular monsters, and since players regularly spend most their time in MS training, I think other bonuses that can be used anywhere are more useful. I'm not saying "boss damage sux" but I wouldn't try to get bossDamage if I got +12 att and 9% STR on my sword, for example.

Looking back at this, I'm slightly confused. How is crit damage 1.33x? with SE(+0.3%max)+passive(+0.15%min), that's 1.35-1.8, ~1.575x average.

maybe says (12:08 AM):
the fact you are forcing the RNG to choose crit over noncrit is helping a ton
maybe says (12:08 AM):
since the RNG is pretty weird

Perhaps we are missing something? And yes, I realize that we are losers for discussing the logistics of a game we barely even play, at midnight, but whatever. I am actually curious where the 1.33x comes from.

Technically, 30% boss+9% dex+9% dex or something like that will better regardless for a level 200, but, that's no reason to ditch a decent runner up for "perfect" on the chance of having to burn through hundreds of dollars to get something even remotely useable again. And I quoted him on that because that is one thing I've always found to be true; if there is a 1% chance of failure, you WILL fail every single time it truly counts, in an MMO.

Damage at bosses with 100% crit: 240ks
Damage at bosses with 75% crit 30% boss: 320k

Are those minimums? Those are the numbers I would be interested in, if not; minimum noncrit and minimum crit.

I calculated increase from 5% to 100% critical rate. I didn't include SE. An SE with 100% Critical Rate is 1.575x increase. This particular example uses three potential lines on a Bow to get this increase. Alternatively, you could have 30% Boss Damage on each line, or 9% total damage on each line, and the damage increase would still be higher. In fact, if you had 9% damage on one line, and garbage on the other two lines, it would still be almost identical to the increase of 27% Critical Rate. (1.10x vs 1.09x)

Does boss% stack correctly even? Obviously if you could get 1.9x that would be better, but I don't know how potentials like that even work because I have never cubed, so I've never had a real need to know what I will never have. But, why would you not count passives and buffs that are innate to character class in a calculation? That hardly seems a fair comparison, since boss% is a strong standalone.

I know right? RNG is a fickle beast.

Sorry, lightening the mood, it's a game! I'm not trying to attack your views, it's just simple curiousity on my part.

I knew about that one, actually, but that's 2 different weapons; I was referring to multiple boss damage lines on a single weapon. Does it still apply? I know in some cases multiple duplicate lines don't stack on same item...

-1/2 second(s) of status infliction
+1/2 second(s) of invincibility when hit.
+1/2 skill level(s)

That's 'bout it.
If you bothered to read the thread you'd see a shad hitting more with two boss lines.
