If a wine bottle with a cork costs $101, and the wine bottle costs $100 more than the cork, how much is the cork?

X + Y = 101 -- (1)
X - Y = 100 -- (2)

(1) - (2),

2Y = 1
Y = 0.5

Therefore, the cork costs $0.50.
