Horntail Seduce?

Just went on a Horntail run with my guild, I was the squad leader, went in first, summoned both heads first and summoned main body but wasn't the main seduce, a member of the second party (our Bowmaster) got seduced instead. There were 9 of us running (all were sed at arms) in total. When I used to kill Horntail it would seduce the first person in the room, but has that changed? How do you determine who will be the main seduce for a run now? Or is it entirely random? Sort of messed with us a bit. Thanks in advance.

Left hand goes in order
1st person to go in gets seduced first, then 2nd, all the way until 6th. Then it starts mass seducing, iirc.

@Danny I meant like, the main sed rather than mass sed. We were all mass sed since there weren't really that many of us. D:

Yeah.. sounds like this is what happened to us. There's no reason it should have targeted anyone other than me but I wasn't sed :| Did you figure out a way to avoid it at all? Or do you just deal with it?

I was duoing with a friend, and we were both getting seduced quite a bit, even though he went in before me.

Started at the preheads. First head didn't sed at all, second head did when the HP bar was at about 65%. From second prehead throughout main body until it died the only main sed was Abby (Bowmaster, one of our main DPS), and I just had to hang on a rope, equipless and useless, until it died. :c

For the entire run including the two preheads, the first one (expedition leader) in did not get seduced. Instead one of the last to get in did.

Just deal with it. Our sed mule usually attacks anyway so just had to switch bishops party.

When I run, it's with a sed mule (pally who does no attacking) and my buddy. We always enter in the order: pally, my buddy, and I. When seduce jumps at random, it always goes to my buddy, who does more damage than I do.
Might it be that HT has gotten "smart" enough to seduce the person causing it the most pain?

Interesting theory, but I don't think she could out-do the DPS of a 17x Night Lord :/ This is quite annoying, especially for runs that really need all the damage we can get, we're only just starting to boss and losing a big chunk of our damage output hurt the time quite a lot.

Thanks a lot for the help guys, but its looking like it is just random and that there isn't any way to determine who will be sed beforehand. If you've got any more ideas, feel free to fire away, but I can't think of anything else. At least I don't have to be a sed mule all the time I guess.

It has always been doing this random sed, there might be a pattern to it, but I would be ignorant of it.

When I go it does what it should on the first head and seduces the first person, then it switches on the second head and seduces the second or third person, then it's all random during the arms.

I haven't HT'd in so song, but my recent CHT run saw no Sed at all. Neither patterned, whacko, nor mass.
