So what to pick now?

Last I played this game is before Big Bang. And I can't play any of my old characters since none of them got a skill reset.

I'm looking for a class that does at least mediocre damage without funding as well as a good leveling speed. There are a ton of new areas and a several new classes with tons of new changes which I haven't looked through yet.

I don't think mages are the way to go anymore with the damage formula change and no ultimates. But I could be wrong.

I'm not looking for long-term playing as I'm looking to just MTS stuff for NX.

Some quick advice please?

Battle Mages are pretty fun, easy to level and do good damage and mobbing from the very beginning.
They also have an ultimate, unique skills, and dont have to rely on magic guard to stay alive, as well has having defensive skills, a hp doubling ability and a drain buff, making them a lot easier to fund. Also; Extra 15%(?) healing on potions making them even easier to fund.
