Level up a citizen to level 50~ or something or even higher. When mechanics are released, could you turn it into a mechanic without a problem?

SP's bugging out on me so sorry if this winds up multiposting -

For what it's worth if you're doing that you may as well just keep it as a permanub. Doing a 1st job advance that late changes your hp/mp gain, though since I'm personally not familiar with pirates at all I'm not sure how much it would change between a mech and a beginner.
But you can advance late, not sure if there'd be problems with your SP at all.

I did this myself on the day mechanics were released. The SP is separate for each job stage so it's possible with Resistance characters, other jobs just get 1 SP if they advance after level 30.

Yes, but you will lose on a lot of hp since hp gain per level is higher after job advancing.

Yeah, you can see it from my screenshot. xP It's only ~500 HP, but it's still really noticable.

Meh. It's like all the jumpstarted characters (aran even dualblade) too. not too bad if it's not going to be your main.
