Earlist for me has to be playing twisted metal on a psOne at a friends house. Either that, or Pokemon on gameboy pocket. Whichever game was out first.

One of my earliest memories is playing http://dosgamer.com/4d-sports-driving/, as well as Doom with my Dad. For whatever reason playing Doom on the computer was all good and fun, but when the n64 came out and we got the Doom game for that, I had nightmares for weeks and was afraid to play it.

Mario Bros and Shareware Wolfenstein 3D, aw yeah
Later when we got an SNES, I played a hell of a lot of Street Fighter II, Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario World.

Some crappy flight simulator for the NES. I could always take off, but landing? I only remember successfully landing once by some miracle. There was also that duck hunting game and a megaman game. Those were the first games I ever "played". "Played" because the systems belonged to my cousins, so the time I spent playing was very limited...
There was also that Friday 13th NES game, but I never managed to play it because my cousin was scared of it. And Contra, that I never played because cousin liked the game too much. <_< First games I owned were Super Mario World (Epic...game), Turtle Ninjas (...Back in time? (I was pro at this game)) and Double Dragon 5 for the SNES. I believe those are my earliest memories of gaming related stuff. I really don't remember anything earlier than this. edit: Funny enough, I never saw a Mario game on the NES until after I got my SNES. <_<

Going to my cousin's house to see pretty things moving on a strange black box. Love at first sight.

Breathing a little life to the thread with a pic. I know that the SP community is weak to nostalgia, so feel free to keep the posts coming.

Your professor was sick! I demand pictures. You did it to yourself first. Don't blame me.

First game i ever played on my old Atari:
I remember playing ms-dos games on my win95, like commanche 2/3, carmagedoom, doom95, duke nukem 2D, outlaw, etc. I think the game i played the most on my cousin's snes: another good game i played on the Snes: rock 'n roll racing and lost vikings.

This game on a joystick was SO FRICKEN AMAZING. I LOVED this game to pieces.
Also : Mech Warrior 3. Man i loved that game Then when my cousin got the N64 it was all about smash brothers and golden eye. And also Starcraft in about 4th grade, but that was all cheat codes and crap cause, well when you're in 4th grade, you can't handle being not cool enough to macro or micro and you just want to win the fricken game. Must have played through the entire campaigns at least 5 times over. |
