Paladin Charges
#1
I've gotten to 60 again with my Pally, and by the end of hot time I hope to be 70, which is a respectable level to ask how Elemental charges work Tongue

I know they're a buff that make you do elemental damage, my question is if they stack, i remember reading that lighting charge could be gotten to stack but I don't remember how. The last time I was high enough level to use them they worked differently.

Can someone hit me up with some learning?

Just cast them. Lightning takes secondary position if you dual charge. Lightning only comes into effect as its own element if it's the only charge active.
#3
Can i dual charge with any two elements?

Also does my entire attack take on that elemental property set, or just the additional damage?
#4
Lightning + any charge is the only dual charge method. Attacks take only the primary element's element. So fire+lightning doesn't give advantage over lightning weak. I think the charges are additive as well. Like fire (1.3) + lightning (1.25) = 1.55.
#5
Always dual charge unless the monster resists one of the elements you're using or is weak to lightning.
#6
Why can't other elements be used to dual charge as the secondary?
#7
The only time to use a single charge is for Lightning-weak or neutral-lightning + resist-Fire/Ice/Holy (use lightning alone).

If the monster is neutral or weak to any charge other than lightning, use that as the primary plus lightning secondary (even if it's lightning resistant, you'll get a damage bonus dual charging).

That's the bottom line because Nexon said so

The bolded text is the only text that isn't wrong. Dual charging DOES take both elements into account; however, lightning stacks additively with the primary charge, and the % added is determined by the formula: {[(Lightning % damage - 100%) / 2] * (Lightning advantage)}. Basically Lightning will ALWAYS add damage to your attacks, but it can only add up to 18.75% damage if the target is weak to lightning.

So, for example, you go to the Road of Regrets where all the monsters are weak to both fire and lightning. You'll want to stack fire and lightning because the damage would look something like this: (130% * 1.5) + {[(125% - 100%) / 2] * (1.5)} = 213.75%

If you were to go up against a monster that was weak to fire but resisted lightning, then your damage would look like this: (130% * 1.5) + {[(125% - 100%) / 2] * (0.5)} = 201.25%

Long story short, you want to stack lightning at all times unless the monster is ONLY weak to lightning and no other charge or if the monster resists EVERY other charge besides lightning.

As for why you can't stack any charge other than lightning, it's just programmed that way. My guess is that they figured an electrically charged sword or battle hammer wouldn't suddenly stop being electrified when you make it warm, cold, or religious.

Thanks for all the helpful info, makes sense now.
