Everything's too squished together

Okay, at first it was reasonable seeing as I could CTRL + "-" so I can get to the database or use the Amazon link. Now, it's completely ridiculous.

Can anyone help me with this? I need to make the tabs smaller without resorting to using the CTRL feature. I hate a small screen.

Current Resolution is at 1024 x 768 on Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

What is the reason for this?

Is the problem with my monitor? It's a CRT-type monitor, by the way.

You could use AdBlock to block navtabs you don't use. Such as Homepage and Site Rules.

If you improve your resolution, you can see more buttons X_X.

And at 1280 x 1024, everything looks WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY zoomed out. The icons (including the text) are smaller than the size of a dime :f6:

Uh. The size of your text should be roughly half the size of a dime. Dime sized is Visually Impaired reading size.

Meh, I'll get used to it eventually. At least I finally adjusted my icons so that they look organized now instead of halfway down my desktop.

it was worth it.

I give up. Couldn't do it. Straining my eyes is not worth it. And I know it has to be the monitor now. It doesn't do it with my brother's 19'' monitor.

And going back to what Eos said: I "re-measured" the size of the letters and it's smaller than that at 1024 x 768. My letters are about...1/3 or 1/4th the size of a dime. Only saying that because I can't think of any other way to size it. Well, I guess you can also say that if I were to use a size 12 font (which I think is standard on webpages??), I'd be going down to a size 8 or a 10. If I were to go back to that small sized font on this computer screen, 5 sentences (each on a different line) would be the size of a dime.

So yeah, screw it. I'm gonna have to save up for a new monitor.

You know, if you hold control and move the mouse wheel up/down, it'll shrink/expand the contents of whatever you're viewing, be it desktop or the internet.

Or, if you have a laptop, I just use two fingers to drag out/in like you would on an iPhone/iPod.

I just wish I can make things, like the tabs, more compact, rather than smaller. Or make them smaller without making everything else smaller.
